The Art of Ambiance

There is a definite talent for finding unique or interesting places to eat.... or drink. When I travel to Spokane for drill with the Air Guard once a month I look forward to connecting with Ramona. She is a German transplant temporarily there for studies. But Ramona (aside from being an all-around fantabulous girl) has an affinity for out-of-the-ordinary places.

She brought me to the Baby Bar in Spokane. It is a tiny space (hence the name). When we walked in, there was only one other patron in the cubby. The bar-tender was engaging in a non-dominating sense and sold us on a couple of fresh-squeezed greyhounds. He grabbed a couple of the fruit from grapefruit pile heaped in front of us, made us two rather stiff drinks, then went out for a smoke with the other patron of the bar, leaving us to ourselves.

I couldn't resist snapping some picts.

Art in the establishment is partially that which is displayed on the walls and even more so the feeling of a space when the owner is of a creative mind. I will be back.
